A one-year old boy has died after he drowned in a swimming pool in the Hillcrest area, KwaZulu Natal.
ER24 paramedics arrived on scene and found a young boy lying next to the pool. A bystander was busy administering CPR to the young patient.
Paramedics immediately took over CPR, providing the patient with advanced life support. Unfortunately, after an hour long resuscitation, no vital signs returned.
The cause of the incident is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
