Rapid Rail Unit members in Soweto recovers firearms and ammunition

On Friday (2014-09-26) at about 08:15 Members of RRU Soweto (New Canada) were patrolling at Dube, Orlando West along the rail when they observed a suspect +- 30 years-old who was carrying a military school backpack, he immediately dropped the bag when he saw the police members and darted away to the side of Dube Hostel.

Upon searching the bag the following items were found:

• AK 47;
• 9mm Fire-Arm;
• AK 47 Magazines;
• 9MM magazine;
•  (61) AK 47 Live Ammunition;
• Motor vehicle number plates;
• Black gloves, a Military school bag and one red cap.
