A pedestrian accident on the M13 in Gillitts left one person dead last night.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived on scene and found the lifeless body of the pedestrian lying on the roadway after being knocked over by a motor vehicle.
Paramedics immediately started with resuscitation but tragically the pedestrian succumb due to the extensive injuries sustained during the accident.
After approximately forty minutes of resuscitation, the pedestrian was declared dead at the scene.
Exact detail surrounding the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
