A man tragically lost his life and another man was injured after a vehicle overturned on the N3 north near Umlaas Road in Camperdown this afternoon.
Exact detail surrounding the accident and preceding events are unclear and will remain the subject of a police investigation. However, reports from the scene indicate that the motor vehicle was rear-ended by another vehicle causing the vehicle to leave the roadway and overturn. The vehicle came to a standstill approximately fifty meters from the roadway.
Both occupants of the vehicle was ejected from the vehicle during the roll-over.
Upon assessment of both occupants, Netcare 911 paramedics found that a man tragically lost his life and another man was found to have sustained serious injuries. Both men are believed to be in their mid thirties.
The injured man was treated on scene and transported to hospital for further medical care.
