Two male suspects from Nyanga are being charged with dealing in drugs following their arrest last night in possession of 490 parcels of dagga. It is suspected that they were en-route to Nababeeb with the drugs.

The suspects failed to stop at a controlled police roadblock at around 23:00 and were pursued by members attached to the Namaqualand K9 Unit, which ended when they drove their VW Polo into a ditch. They fled further on foot but could not evade an arrest. Upon a search of their vehicle, the large quantities of drugs were found hidden in the boot.
