A man has been seriously injured after a truck accident on the N3 near Peacevale. The truck is believed to have been travelling west bound and came to a rest with the cab severely damaged and the trailer, carrying a large shipping container lying on its side, on the centre island, after the accident.
The driver of the truck, sustained serious injuries and was treated on scene by paramedics for the various injuries, that he had sustained, when the truck over turned. The man once stabilized was transported to hospital by the paramedics from a private ambulance service.
The exact cause of the accident is being investigated by the police
