Durban pedestrian crash leaves man fighting for his life

A man in his forties is fighting for his life after an accident along Wiggins Road in the Bonela area of Durban this afternoon. Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain a subject for police comment.

Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the man lying partially on the roadway with life threatening injuries. The Netcare 911 advanced life support paramedic and his team worked fervently to stabilise the patient. After he was placed on a ventilator and deftly immobilised on a trauma board, they transported the patient to the Nkosi Albert Luthuli hospital for the care that he required.
