KZN Paramedics attend to multiple incidents across the province

Paramedics have had a busy night attending to multiple collisions that have occurred across the province, last might and this morning.

At around midnight, on the N11 between Ladysmith and Newcastle, two men were lucky to escape with minor injuries when their car hit a cow. Despite there being major damage to the car, the two men who were in the car only sustained minor injuries and were transported to hospital in Newcastle by paramedics from a private ambulance service.

As EMS we attend to several incidents a week where there has been a collision between vehicle and livestock or wild animals, like buck. Motorists need to be extremely cautious of animals that may cross the road, especially at night.

This morning on the N2 near Izingolweni, south of the province, there was a collision between a car and truck. Three patients were injured in the collision and paramedics transported these patients to Murchison hospital.

While on the R618 in the Umkhanyakude health district, two cars collided, which resulted in two people sustaining serious injuries.
