Two people have died and one person sustained critical injuries after a head-on collision on the N2 between Matubatuba and Hluhluwe this evening. A report from the scene indicates that a Toyota and a truck collided head on however the cause of the accident is still speculative and will remain a subject for police comment.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the wreckage of the vehicle and accident debris spread over a large area , consistent with a high impact accident. After trading the injured they found that two people had died on impact while one sustained critical injuries. After the patient was stabilised at the scene paramedics transported the critically wounded to a nearby hospital for further care.
