One person has died after the vehicle he was driving collided into a stationary truck on the N3 West bound before the Pavilion just after 8pm last night.
Rescue Care paramedics were called to the scene and found carnage. A vehicle had collided into the back of a truck leaving the driver severely entrapped. Paramedics quickly assessed the driver and found that he had suffered fatal injuries and there was nothing more paramedics could do to assist him. He was declared dead on the scene. Durban Fire Department had to utilise the jaws of life and other hydraulic equipment to free the trapped man.
SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
