An elderly woman was killed this morning after her vehicle was crushed beneath a truck on the M13 in Fields Hill, KwaZulu Natal.
ER24 paramedics arrived on scene on found the road blocked by a large truck that lay on its side. A light motor vehicle lay crushed beneath the truck and crane attachment.
On assessment, paramedics found that an elderly woman lay trapped within her vehicle. Unfortunately she had already succumbed to her injuries.
Rescue services were on scene to extricate the woman’s body from the vehicle.
The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
