Undercover operation leads to arrest of two drug dealing suspects in Salt River

On Monday 2014-11-17, at about 15:40 a clandestine operation was conducted at a garage in Salt River. Two undercover police officers met two alleged drug dealers and sold two police case dockets to them for an amount of R12 000. Both dockets dealt with drug related matters. After the duplicate dockets and the cash exchanged were handed over the suspects were arrested on the scene.

Both suspects will be charged for corruption, bribery and defeating the ends of justice. They are due to appear in the Cape Town Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 2014-11-19.

They were previously involved in drug related cases, and will therefore remain in custody.
