A man is in a critical condition after he fell from the back of a bakkie near the Port Shepstone toll plaza this afternoon. Exact detail is still speculative however it appears that the man was on the back of the bakkie that was carrying mattresses.
Netcare 911 paramedics and the emergency services arrived at the scene and found the man lying on the roadway with life threatening injuries. After he was placed on a ventilator and skilfully immobilised on a trauma board, they transported the man to a local hospital for the care that he required.
