Three people were injured when a light delivery vehicle overturned on the N2 near Port Shepstone late this afternoon.
Netcare 911 paramedics and other services arrived on scene and found people scattered over the roadway.
Upon assessment of all seven occupants they found that two women and a three-year-old boy sustained serious injuries during the rollover.
All three patients were treated on scene and transported to hospital for further medical care.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
Traffic was severely affected as a result of the accident.
