One person has tragically lost a life and seven people were injured following an accident in Gwalas Farm near Tongaat this afternoon.
Netcare 911 paramedics and other services arrived at the scene and found a minibus had left the roadway and overturned.
Upon assessment of all the occupants they found that one person had died during the rollover and seven people sustained injuries ranging from moderate to critical.
A medical helicopter was activated to airlift a critically injured patient to hospital for urgent medical care.
The other six patients were treated on scene and transported to hospital for further medical care.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
