A vehicle roll over on Inanda Road in Waterfall has left one person dead and two people injured.
Netcare 911 paramedics and other services arrived at the scene and found the vehicle had left the roadway, overturned and came to a standstill on the side of the roadway.
Upon assessment of the occupants they found that one person tragically lost a life, one person was in a critical condition and one person sustained moderate injuries.
A medical helicopter was activated to airlift the critically injured patient to hospital for the urgent medical care required.
The other injured patient was treated on scene and transported to hospital for further medical care.
The traffic flow was affected while the helicopter landed to load the patient and take off again.
Exact detail surrounding the cause of the rollover and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
