KZN Westbrooke collision leaves three dead and fifteen injured

Netcare 911 paramedics and other services responded to an accident on the M4 at the Westbrooke circle in Westbrooke on the KZN North Coast.

Upon their arrival on scene they found that a minibus and motor vehicle collided head-on resulting in the minibus overturning, coming to a standstill on its roof.

Upon assessment of all the occupants, they found that three people tragically lost their lives during the accident, while two people were found to be in a critical condition and thirteen people sustained serious injuries. Many people were ejected from the minibus during the rollover and services closed down the road immediately to enable emergency service personnel to assess and treat the patients.

All the injured people were treated on scene and transported to hospital for further medical care.

Exact detail surrounding the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.

The road was closed completely while patients were treated and full recovery of the vehicles were completed.
