A 24-year-old-man is in a critical condition after he was knocked and driven over by a taxi at the Lauth and Crompton Road intersection in Pinetown, KwaZulu Natal.
ER24 paramedics arrived on scene and found the male patient lying on the side of the road in a critical condition.
On assessment, it was found that the patient had sustained severe injuries to his head, chest and legs. Paramedics immediately initiated advanced life support to stabilise the patient’s vital signs.
Once stable, the patient was airlifted by medical helicopter to King Edward Hospital for urgent medical treatment.
The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
