A forty-five-year-old man is in a serious condition following a snake bite incident in Rysmierbult, Roodraai in the North West Province yesterday afternoon.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the man sitting after being bitten by a puff adder.
Reports from the scene indicate that members of the community found the puff adder near their home and after trying to catch the snake, the snake bit the man.
The man was treated on scene before being transported to hospital for further medical care.
