One man died and another three persons sustained injuries ranging from moderate to serious after the car they were travelling in left the road and overturned several times on the N3 near Tugela River earlier this morning.
All the occupants were ejected from the vehicle on impact. The vehicle caught fire after the accident and burnt out completely.
All patients were transported to Ladysmith Provincial Hospital for further management.
