Eight people were injured following an accident on Main Reef Road near Pretoria Road in Comet, Boksburg this morning.
Netcare 911 paramedics and other services arrived at the scene and found that two delivery vehicles were involved in a rear-end collision after which one of the delivery vehicles left the roadway and crashed against a building.
Upon assessment of all the occupants from both vehicles, they found that four people were in a critical condition and four people sustained injuries ranging from moderate to serious.
All the injured patients were treated on scene before they were transported to hospital for further medical care.
Exact detail surrounding the cause of the rear-end collision and preceding events are unknown at this stage and will remain the subject of a police investigation.
