The Gauteng Organized Crime Tactical Operational Management Unit followed up information of highly armed robbers hiding at a Town house Complex in Honeydew.
These robbers were involved in hi-jackings and house robberies throughout Gauteng. The suspects would follow victims from malls and centres to their home. The victims will then be grabbed and forced into their houses. The suspects focused on taking expensive jewelry and electronic equipment.
Six suspects were arrested between ages of 20 and 36. 1 AK47, 1 shotgun and 2 handguns were recovered as well as ammunition. Flat screen TV’s, jewelry, computers, cell phones and other electronic equipment were also recovered along with two hi-jacked vehicles on the scene.
