Tragedy struck early on Christmas morning on the N6 between Reddersburg and Smithfield when a SUV with five occupants left the road and overturned several times.
The four adults in the vehicle died instantly and one child was found by paramedics in critical condition. She was stabilised on scene by paramedics before being transported to Pelonomi Hospital in Bloemfontein by the Free State Dept of Health emergency helicopter.
She sadly died in hospital shortly after arrival. Various services including Netcare 911, Life Rosepark and FS EMS attended scene.
