Two burnt in tanker fire in Primrose Park in the Western Cape

Two men have sustained serious burns this morning after a fire broke out under a petrol tanker at a plant in Primrose Park in the Western Cape.

ER24 paramedics, as well as other services, arrived on scene and found a petrol tanker well alight. Metro fire services were busy extinguishing the blaze.

Paramedics found two men sitting in chairs in a nearby office crowded by fellow workers. Both men has sustained serious burn wounds to their heads and chests.

Paramedics treated the patients for their injuries and thereafter transported them to Vincent Palloti Hospital fur further medical treatment.

It is believed both men were filling a tank when there was a small explosion which caused the fire.

Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
