Two men arrested for possession of methamphetamine after community tip-off

Yesterday afternoon at about 15:00 members of the Lentegeur Crime Prevention Unit followed up on information received from the public about a white VW Golf that was transporting drugs. The vehicle was spotted and forced to stop on the corners of Highlands Drive and Eisleben Drive, Lentegeur.

The members conducted a search and confiscated four kilograms of “tik” methamphetamine hidden inside a carry bag in the vehicle.

Both suspects aged 13 and 42 years were apprehended on charges of possession of prohibited substances and are due in court once they have been charged. Due process regarding the minor is being followed.
