A driver has sustained moderate injuries after the vehicle he was in collided with a tree in Bulwer Road Davenport around 1pm yesterday. Rescue Care paramedics arrived to find the driver still in the vehicle on their arrival.
Paramedics climbed into the wreckage to stabilize the injured man before carefully extricating him using a special spine board to prevent any further injury. Once extricated the man was transported by Rescue Care paramedics to a nearby private hospital for the further care that he required.
At this stage it is unclear what caused the single vehicle to collide with the tree however SAPS were on scene and will be investigating further.
