A woman in her 40s is in a critical condition after she was hit by a light motor vehicle on Kerk Street in Bethlehem.
ER24 paramedics arrived on scene, they found the patient lying on the side of the road in a critical condition. A group of motorists had stopped and was busy offering their assistance to the patient.
Paramedics assessed the patient and found that she was in a serious condition, with head, chest and leg injuries.
Treatment as well as advanced life support was started on the patient to stabiliseher weak vital signs. Once treatment was complete, paramedics transported the patient to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
