Two people have been injured one critically so after the vehicle they were in lost control and collided with a electricity pole before smashing through a residence fence just after 1am on Stella Road near Carrick Road in Malvern.
Rescue Care paramedics arrived on the scene to find both occupants of the vehicle entrapped in the wreckage. Once stabilized by Advanced Life Support paramedics the two were carefully extricated onto specialized spinal boards to prevent any further injury. The passenger of the vehicle had sustained critical injuries and was placed on a manual ventilator on the scene. Once both men had been stabilized on scene they were transported by Rescue Care to a nearby hospital for the further care that they required.
At this stage it is unclear what caused the single vehicle to lose control and crash however SAPS were on scene and will be investigating further.
