Earlier this morning paramedics responded to the Molweni area in Durban where a tipper truck carrying sand had crashed.
Paramedics from KZN Emergency Medical Services and a private ambulance service arrived on scene the find the tipper truck ripped in half, with the cab, found lying some distance from the rest of the vehicle.
Sadly one person has been killed in the crash and a second person was seriously injured. The patient once stabilized was transported to hospital for continued care.
The cause of the collisions is being investigated by the police.
