Minibus crash leaves elderly lady dead

At around midday KZN Emergency Medical Services paramedics responded to an accident at the Nagle dam area, at Cato Ridge between Durban and Pietermaritzburg.

The accident involved a single minibus, which had apparently overturned. Sadly an elderly lady in her sixties had already passed away when paramedics arrived on the scene, which was on a small dirt road off the road leading towards Nagle dam.
Paramedics worked tirelessly to stabilise the 12 other patients, who had been occupants of the vehicle, who had sustained injuries, which ranged from severe to minor.

The patients were then transported to Northdale, Edendale and RK Khan Hospital for continued medical care.
The cause of the collision is being investigated by the police
