A pedestrian was critically injured in an incident in Pietermaritzburg earlier this morning.
It is understood the man was crossing Edendale Road when a taxi collided with him.
When ER24 paramedics arrived on scene they found the man on centre median of the road. He was assessed and treated on scene. He was thereafter transported to the Edendale Hospital for further treatment. The exact cause of the incident is unknown.
Local authorities were on scene.
