Two people were seriously injured after a side impact accident at the intersection of North coast Road and Blackburn Road this afternoon. A report indicate that an errant vehicle crossed the traffic lights on red causing the two vehicles to collide, one vehicle then veered off and hit another car standing at the traffic lights.
Netcare 911 advanced life support paramedic arrived at the scene and found the two occupants of the Toyota still seated in the wreckage of their vehicle. The windshield had large indentations of the people’s heads indicating that they were unrestrained. The occupants from the other vehicles fortunately escaped un-injured.
After triaging he established that the both sustained serious injuries, after they were treated at the scene paramedics transported them to Addington hospital for the care that they required.
