Netcare 911 paramedics responded to an accident on the R51 Paul Kruger Highway near Main Reef Road in New Era, Springs this morning.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that a minibus and two motor vehicles were involved. Reports from the scene indicate that one motor vehicle was rear-ended by the minibus resulting in the motor vehicle then rear-ending another motor vehicle.
Upon assessment of all the occupants it was found that the driver of one of the motor vehicle were in a serious condition and another three people sustained minor to moderate injuries.
All the injured patients were treated at the scene and transported to hospital for further medical care.
Exact detail surrounding the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
Traffic was affected as a result of the accident this morning.
