Truck drivers arrested with more than 200 liters of suspected stolen diesel

Kimberley police pounced on three men and charge them for possession of suspected stolen diesel to the value of R27000-00. Suspects aged 57, 46 and 36 were arrested at about 22:30 on Monday, 2015/01/28. The arrest came after we received a tipped off, regarding what is suspected to be a theft of petrol and diesel from trucks which were parked on N8, just 25 Kilometers outside Kimberley. We promptly responded to the to the crime scene and found eight (8) 25 litres of containers filled with diesel and hose pipes still inserted inside the tanks of the three trucks.

The suspect will appear before the Kimberley Magistrate’s Court tomorrow on charges possession of suspected stolen diesel.

Investigation continues.
