2 Buses, 4 cars collide in Durban CBD

Twenty two people have been injured after two busses and four cars collided on West Street between Marine Parade and Gillespie Street just after 12pm today.

Rescue Care paramedics arrived to find vehicles extensively damaged with multiple patients on the sidewalk. Immediately more ambulances were called to assist with the multiple casualty scene. A total of twenty two people from all the vehicles had sustained various injuries. Once all of the injured had been stabilized they were transported to various Durban Hospitals for the further care that they required.

At this stage it is unclear what caused the accident however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
