A cyclist was injured after she was knocked over by a motor vehicle on Benoni Road near Boden Road in Benoni this morning.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the injured woman lying on the roadway.
Upon assessment of the injured cyclist, they found that she had sustained serious injuries and after receiving treatment at the scene, the woman was transported to hospital for further medical care.
Exact detail surrounding the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
