Early morning intersection collision in Durban leaves 2 injured, 1 critical

Two people have been injured one critically so after two vehicles collided at the intersection of Leopald Street and Grey Street around 2am this morning.

Rescue Care Paramedics arrived on the scene to find the two vehicles extensively damaged. On assessment it was found that both drivers had been injured. The driver of the car had sustained critical injuries and was placed on a manual ventilator by Rescue Care’s Advanced Life Support Paramedic on the scene. Once both the drivers had been stabilized on scene they were transported to nearby Durban Hospitals for the further care that they required.

At this stage it is unclear what caused the collision however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
