On Friday (2015-02-06) at about 05:15 a 33 year old man and his 40 year old wife were arrested for dealing in drugs and illegal possession of ammunition.
Police received information in the early hours of this morning that led them to an address in Katberg Road Heideveld.
When members gained access they searched the house and found a bag containing 590 mandrax tablets laying at the back of the house. They continued their search and discovered fifty nine (59) 9 mm rounds , three .45 rounds and R5680.00 cash.
Both husband and wife were arrested and will be charged for dealing in drugs and illegal possession of ammunition. The suspects will appear at Athlone magistrate court once charged.
