A motor vehicle collision occured in Vereeniging around 3am this morning. The collision involved a light motor vehicle. Two people were killed in the collision.
The vehicle allegedly lost control and drove into a storm drain of about 3m. The vehicle then allegedly caught fire with both passengers still entrapped.
When ER24 paramedics arrived on scene they found that the car had allready burnt out. Both passengers were killed.
The cause of the incident remains unknown, however local authorities are investigating.
