Sixteen people were injured in an accident along Todd Road Verulam this morning. Exact details is still speculative, however reports indicate that a taxi a bus and a bakkie collided, leaving the taxi commuters injured.
Netcare 911 paramedics and the fire department arrived at the scene and found some of the injured still trapped in the twisted frame of the taxi. After triaging, paramedics found that one person sustained critical injuries while fifteen others sustained injuries ranging from serious to minor.
After the injured were treated at the scene, they airlifted the critically wounded patient to the Nkosi Albert Luthuli hospital while the other patients were transported to various hospitals for the care that they required.
