Gauteng Flying Squad arrested 3 for possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition

Last night at about 22:49, the members of Gauteng Flying Squad arrested four suspects aged between 25 and 45 at Tokoza hostel.

It is alleged that the members followed up information provided by Crime Intelligence Gauteng that there were firearms at the hostel. They arrived at the two rooms identified and upon searching found two unlicensed firearms with ammunition. The suspects, a woman and three men will appear in court on Monday on charges of possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition.

Police aren’t ruling out the possibility of linking the firearms to other crimes committed in Gauteng.
