Man injured in tractor collision on Nelson Mandela Drive in Bloemfontein

A 31-year-old man sustained moderate injuries this afternoon when two motor vehicles collided with his tractor on Nelson Mandela Drive in Bloemfontein.

Paramedics from the ER24 Bloemfontein branch arrived on scene, and found two motor vehicles wedged up against a tractor in one of the lanes.

Paramedics found the driver of the tractor on the side of the road, after he was carefully removed off his vehicle by members of public.

On assessment, paramedics found that the patient had sustained injuries to his head and neck and was in a stable condition.

Paramedics treated and immobilised the patient and thereafter transported him to Pelonomi Hospital for further treatment.

The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
