Two people were injured following an accident on the N3 approximately thirty kilometres from Villiers to Warden last night.
Exact detail surrounding the cause of the accident and preceding events are still unclear and will remain the subject of a police investigation. Reports from the scene however indicate that a light delivery vehicle crashed against a cow resulting in the vehicle crashing against a heavy goods vehicle.
Upon assessment of the occupants from the light delivery vehicle, paramedics found that both occupants sustained serious injuries during the accident and was transported to hospital after receiving treatment at the scene.
The driver and assistant from the heavy goods vehicle was not injured during the accident.
