Fifteen taxi passengers have been injured after the taxi they were in collided with a tree on Mangusuthu Highway near the Tech in Umlazi Durban around 12pm today.
Rescue Care paramedics arrived on scene to find the single vehicle had collided with a tree. All of the passengers were found on the roadside. A total of fifteen people had sustained various injuries and some needed Advanced Life Support paramedics to assist in stabilizing them. Once all of the injured had been stabilized they were transported to various Durban Hospitals for the further care that they required.
At this stage it is unclear what caused the collision however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
