A truck driver has been seriously injured after the vehicle he was driving overturned on Sydney Road on the onramp to the M7 on Sunday afternoon.
Rescue Care paramedics arrived on the scene to find the onramp totally closed by the truck lying on its side. The seriously injured driver had been assisted out of his vehicle by bystanders. He was found on the sidewalk in severe pain. Advanced Life Support paramedics stabilized the injured man on scene before transporting him to a nearby hospital for the further care that he required.
At this stage it is unclear what caused the truck to overturn however SAPS were on the scene and will investigate further.
