A female driver has been killed in a head on collision with a truck on the M7 East bound before Bellville Bridge this morning around 7am.
Rescue Care paramedics arrived on the scene to find that the car and the truck had collided head on before both vehicles left the roadway. Paramedics quickly assessed the scene and found that unfortunately the driver of the car had sustained fatal injuries and had passed away before paramedics arrived on the scene. She was declared deceased on the scene.
At this stage it is unclear what caused the collision however it is alleged that the car had somehow lost control and collided head on with the truck in the opposite bound. SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
