Three people were injured following an accident on Bryanston Drive near Grosvenor Road in Bryanston last night at around 22h30.
Netcare 911 paramedics and other services arrived at the scene and found that motor vehicle had left the roadway and crashed against a tree.
Upon assessment of the occupants, paramedics found that one person sustained critical injuries and two people sustained serious injuries during the crash.
The Netcare1 helicopter was activated to airlift the critically injured patient to hospital for the urgent medical care required.
The two seriously injured patients were treated at the scene and transported to hospital for further medical care.
Exact detail surrounding the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
