A female has been killed in a horrific accident in the early hours of this morning on Umgeni Road near Walter Gilbert Road just before 3am.
Rescue Care paramedics arrived on the scene to find that the single vehicle had torn apart after rolling several times and colliding with a street pole. Paramedics found that there were four occupants of the vehicle. Sadly one of the passengers a female had suffered fatal injuries and there was nothing further paramedics could do and she was declared deceased on the scene. The other three occupants of the vehicle suffered minor injuries and were transported to a nearby facility for the further care that they required.
At this stage it is unclear what caused the single vehicle to lose control and crash however SAPS were on scene and will be investigating further.
