Five people were injured in a collision at the corner of AZ Berman Drive and Morgenster Road in Mitchell’s Plain early this morning.
ER24 and Life Healthcare paramedics as well as province arrived on scene and found that three vehicles were involved in the collision.
Metro and Fire and Rescue Services had to use the jaws of life and other rescue equipment to extricate some of the patients from the vehicles.
Paramedics assessed the patients and found that two were critically injured and three sustained moderate injuries.
They were treated and transported to local hospitals for further medical care.
Authorities were on scene for further investigations.
