Two people were seriously injured after a vehicle overturned along the R61 between Margate and Shelly Beach this afternoon. Exact detail to the cause of the accident is still speculative and will remain a subject for police investigation.
Netcare 911 paramedics and the fire service arrived at the scene and found that the vehicle seems to have veered off the road , overturned and smashed into a tree, the wreckage coming to rest on its side. After medics treated the injured at the scene they transported them to a nearby hospital for the medical care that they required.
